HQC Offerings
Healthcare Quality Catalyst (HQC) is providing healthcare systems with the critical components for clinical integration. Those components are a unique blend of services, software, and methodologies.
Software
Key Process Analysis—Tool to evaluate and compare care process models and clinical work processes to identify which clinical processes have both the highest volume of activity and the most variation in care delivered.
EDW Atlas—Lightweight, web-based repository and application to navigate and manage metadata.
IDEA (Instant Data Entry Application) Tool—Web-based tool for rapid development of data capture applications, which integrates the captured data into an enterprise data warehouse.
HQC Data Models—Database schemas and structures for specific source data marts and subject area data marts.
HQC ETL Routines—Proprietary software to extract, transform, and load data from source systems (e.g., Epic/Clarity, Lawson) into standardized schemas/data models in an enterprise data warehouse.
Clinical Management Infrastructure Tools and Templates—Templates and tools to discover, define, and implement clinical “best practices.”
Care Process Model Tool—Tool to assist clinicians and support staff in designing and engineering care process models (conceptual flow charts and decision-flow algorithms of care).
Services
Quality Improvement Assessment—Consulting expertise to evaluate a client’s current ability to deliver and improve clinical quality and cost outcomes.
Adaptive Data Warehouse™ Development and Training—Consulting and training expertise to help a client implement an adaptive data warehouse strategy, including on-the-job training of client personnel on best practices pertaining to: source data extraction, transformation and loading, source and subject area data mart design, metadata management, data stewardship, and analytics strategies.
Adaptive Clinical Integration Framework Development and Training Services—Consulting and training expertise to help a client implement governance and management structures and strategies to define and implement clinical best practices, develop care process models, identify key indicators, and engage clinicians in the development of an adaptive data warehouse for outcomes measurement.
Methodologies
Adaptive Improvement Framework—Methodology for understanding and implementing continuous quality and cost improvement in healthcare. Includes strategies and templates for establishing clinical program guidance teams, clinical review teams, and interdisciplinary work groups to develop care process models and clinical protocols. These teams lead the implementation of best practice standards. They develop algorithms of care, and they define what should be measured to improve the delivery of care.
Adaptive Data Warehouse Methodology—Methodology for rapid development of an enterprise data warehouse, which is pragmatic, flexible, and standards-based.
