• Healthcare Data Warehouse Association—Steve Barlow is a founding member and former chair of HDWA, which was founded in 2001 to serve as a forum where healthcare organizations planning or engaged in data warehousing projects can share ideas and lessons learned in healthcare data warehousing and business intelligence.
• Agile Software Development (Agile Manifesto)—HQC has long been a proponent of agile software development practices and puts the 12 principles of the Agile Manifesto into practice on a daily basis.
• Implementing Clinical Management—With roots in the foundational clinical integration work done by Intermountain Healthcare, HQC remains involved as a regular partner in quality improvement training. Intermountain has generously provided to the public much of the output of their clinical team’s process improvement efforts, which can serve as a guide to other providers as the journey down this same path.
